SUCCESS OF OUR STUDENT

Elif Uzun, a senior student at the English Translation and Interpretation Program of our department, ranked second in English Language in  2022 Young Translators Competition of the European Union Presidency.

2022 Young Translators Competition of the European Union Presidency, held in Ankara on May 21, 2022, was held with the participation of a total of 85 students, 54 from English, 16 from German and 15 from French, from 24 universities providing translation education. The aim of the Young Translators Contest is to increase the awareness of universities and young translators preparing for the profession about Turkey's accession to the European Union and to contribute to the training of qualified human resources in this field. This year, students participated in the competition, which has been organized for eleven years, by translating an EU legislation text.
